Tandoor is an oven made from Indian clay, a simple artifact which does many things bake bread, or roast lamb and chicken. All preparations cooked in the Tandoor are marinated in yoghurt together with a special blend of Himalayan herbs and spices to suit each variety of preparations. The tandoor is kept at a high temperature with charcoal which beats its walls and heat thus radiated together with smouldering charcoal does the cooking.
